Axios, the business newsletter that cultivates market-moving sources, has a detailed look at how President Trump is striking back at his perceived foes in the Executive Branch. The level of detail in the story makes it credible to me.

A key figure is Ginni Thomas, wife of Supreme Court justice Clarence Thomas. She has a team assisting her, according to Axios.

Members of Groundswell, whose members earlier led the successful campaign to remove McMaster as national security adviser, meet on Wednesdays in the D.C. offices of Judicial Watch, a conservative legal group that has led the fight against the Mueller probe. Judicial Watch’s president is Tom Fitton. He’s a regular on Fox News, and Trump regularly retweets his commentary on the “Deep State.” Conservative activists who attend Groundswell meetings funneled names to Thomas, and she compiled those recommendations….

Trump is apparently looking for any and all officials who refused to indict former deputy FBI director Andrew McCabe.

Worth noting: This story does not concern the intelligence community. Trump is has named the lightly-credentialed Richard Grenell, as acting Director of National Security. The president surely saw that CIA director Gina Haspel cheered his State of the Union address. So Trump may be feeling more secure about his control of the intelligence community than about the rest of the executive branch
